Hi
Hey there! I’m Marko Pavlovic, a tech founder with a penchant for handball, video games, and weekend kebab binges. I dropped out of college, became a dad, and started my first startup all at the tender age of 19. Crazy? Definitely. Worth it? Absolutely.
I’ve had the privilege of leading some fantastic tech ventures, including Flow & Form before being acquired by Robin. My first startup was Anctu, an early player in marketing automation for social media, which later joined forces with Socialbakers. I am a partner & advisor at Upp agency, invested in multiple seed-stage startups and I am working on something new in stealth. Along the way, I’ve learned a thing or two about building tech companies, juggling the roles of CEO, dad, and occasional gamer.
My blog is a space where I share my experiences in the tech world, insights on leadership and fatherhood, and my deep thoughts. I aim to inspire, connect, and maybe even share a laugh or two.
When I'm not living in the tech universe, you can find me hanging out with my amazing family; my wife, our two beautiful kids, and our dog Biggie. Yes, Biggie is a Beagle with the cutest tail-wagging routine you’ve ever seen. Why did we name him the most common beagle name? We liked it and decided to never compare our family world with rest of the world. I love snowboarding, working out, traveling, reading interesting books and occasionally doing something slightly extreme.
Becoming a young dad and tech entrepreneur, especially back in 2011, wasn't smart or brave at all. In fact it was foolish and naive, but I don't regret it one bit. Being a loving parent doesn't really require a large age gap after you grow up. I just had to grow up faster and take some big bets. People tend to believe they become smarter as older they become, but I feel like I am dumber as time goes :)
Greatest man I ever met was my grandfather who told me something I've only came to understand lately, “Be good and good will happen. Take care of your family, and you will be taken care of.” That’s a motto I live by every day.
Join me on this journey of building great tech companies, making a positive impact, and enjoying the little (and sometimes kebab-filled) moments in life.
